Here's a picture of our new front door and brick step that were just put in. My next project will be the back porch in August. I also want to remove the old walk way and put a new one in. The last picture is a before shot of the house prior to any changes being made. We have had several people in the neighborhood comment on how much they like what we have done, which is a real compliment.
We had a nice Independence Day at Uncle Freds. Gavin did lots of swimming, but it was not warm enough for me to venture in. Sydney took her first official dip in the lake. She just dove right in off the dock. I don't know if maybe it just looked like fun, or the fact that Lavinia was standing right behind her. I lean toward the latter! Overall, it was a nice day. I am posting a few pictures that we took.
This is our baby, Sydney. She is the weirdest, most unfriendly, and skittish dog ever. But we love her way more than someone should love a dog. She is actually very sweet.......... if she lets you near her.
The part I hate most about being a couple is having to deal with who we will spend holidays with. The 4th is no big deal, but my family wants us there and Gavin's family would like us to see them too. We have tried to go to both get togethers and it just creates a much more stressful time than a day off from work should be. This year we have decided to go to Gavin's uncle Fred's house. He lives on the lake in Casco and it should be fun. We may try to stop at my Uncle's later at night.
Anyway, yay America, it's nice just to get the day off I suppose.
I guess I should start out saying "Hi". If you are here you know us already, but I will give a recap. We are Gavin and Melissa Stone. We've been married for a little over a month now. We're looking forward to posting about life on here.
